Mauricio Banchieri

Mauricio Banchieri, Business Administrator and Master on Information Systems of the American University, Washington DC. He is an specialist in undertaking business initiatives, having founded and developed, among others, MZZO (www.mzzo.com) one of the leading companies on services of added value for the wireless phone industry en Chile. In the US, he has founded and is actually running Puro Chile, retail space and a New York based business platform seeking to promote, sell, distribute and to render services to Chile´s main exporting industries (www.puro-chile.com).

Jorge Pizarro

After doing a master degree in Political Science (MSc Comparative Politics) at the London School of Economics during 2005-2006, he has combined an academic work as a contemporary history professor at Universidad Católica de Chile, with a political and business career, both advising top governmental officials as well as different foreign capitals with interests in Chile as a member of the board and founder of Ventus Consulting. Recently, being a member of the Interior Minister´s cabinet, he worked with the Vice-President on a daily basis on crisis management, media analysis, public and private partnership, among other issues of public and private interest. Since an early age, Jorge´s team spirit has shaped his character as a sport man, having a successful career as a national rugby player.

Patricio Navia

Patricio Navia teaches Latin American Politics at New York University and Universidad Diego Portales in Chile. He received his Bachelor’s from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Masters’ degree from the University of Chicago and PhD in Politics from New York University. He has been a visiting professor at Princeton, New School University and Universidad de Chile and a visiting fellow at the University of Miami and has published extensively on Chilean and Latin American politics. He is a columnist at La Tercera newspaper and Poder magazine in Chile and regularly writes for the Infolatam website. In 2009, he was appointed as a Fellow by the Americas Business Council and Poder Magazine. He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank and the Inter American Development Bank. He has also served as consultant for private companies and Latin American governments on political risks, electoral and public opinion trends and political strategic planning.
